Resumo

Esta revisão narrativa integrativa sintetiza evidências publicadas na última década sobre o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), focalizando adaptações de protocolos a ambientes específicos, estimativa de peso, atualizações de diretrizes e métodos de ensino e avaliação de competências. A busca estruturada na PubMed identificou 18 estudos que foram agrupados em quatro eixos temáticos: adaptações de protocolo, estimativa antropométrica, diretrizes AHA/ILCOR e treinamento/avaliação por simulação. Constatou-se que fitas populacionais específicas reduzem erros de dosagem; diretrizes focais reforçam práticas de ventilação e termorregulação pós-ressuscitação; e a retenção de habilidades declina sem treinamentos suplementares, sendo simulações presenciais e remotas eficazes para mitigação dessa perda. Identificaram-se ainda lacunas na validação multicêntrica de ferramentas, no impacto clínico de adaptações como o DALS e na adoção de tecnologias avançadas em contextos de poucos recursos. Conclui-se que estratégias de recertificação baseadas em desempenho e políticas de capacitação contínua são essenciais para aprimorar a qualidade do atendimento a emergências pediátricas. Recomenda-se a realização de ensaios randomizados e estudos multicêntricos que correlacionem treinamento e desfechos reais em pacientes.
