Privacy Statement
The Journal of Advanced Clinical Implementation and Applied Medical Innovations (JACIAMI) operates under principles of transparency, integrity, and accountability in the handling of manuscripts, personal data, and copyright. After this deadline, or once published, the article cannot be withdrawn, except in cases of proven misconduct (e.g., plagiarism or fraud), as determined by editorial decision.
Privacy Policy
The personal data provided by authors (names, email addresses, affiliations, and addresses) will be used exclusively for editorial purposes, such as communication during the review process, publication, and issuance of certificates. This data:
- Is protected in accordance with applicable laws (e.g., the General Data Protection Law – LGPD, in Brazil; the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, in the European Union);

Authors have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of their personal data after the conclusion of the editorial process, except when required for legal records or permanent archiving.
Anti-Plagiarism Policy
JACIAMI adopts a zero-tolerance stance on plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, literal copying, or improper paraphrasing without attribution. All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous screening with similarity detection tools, such as CopySpider, iThenticate, or widely recognized equivalents in academia. Our policy includes:
- Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 2% (excluding properly referenced citations, bibliographical references, and common phrases) are automatically rejected in the initial screening.
- Consequences: Authors of articles with confirmed plagiarism will have their manuscript rejected and will be permanently barred from submitting new work to JACIAMI. Severe cases may be reported to the authors' affiliated institutions and recorded in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
- Appeal: Authors may contest a rejection for plagiarism by providing evidence of originality within 10 days of notification. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on independent analysis.
Quarantine Policy
To prevent duplicate submissions and protect editorial integrity:
- Manuscripts rejected for plagiarism, misconduct, or low quality cannot be resubmitted to JACIAMI for 12 months, unless a substantial revision is approved by the Editor-in-Chief.
- Authors banned for serious ethical violations (e.g., repeated fraud) will be placed under permanent quarantine.
- Quarantine status is recorded internally and communicated to the author, with the right to appeal within 15 days.
Integrity and Retractions
In addition to plagiarism, JACIAMI follows COPE guidelines to address other forms of scientific misconduct, such as data fabrication or falsification. If identified after publication, misconduct may lead to:
- Corrections: Publication of errata for minor errors, with notification to readers;
- Retractions: Removal of the article from the website, with an explanatory note linked to the DOI, preserved for transparency purposes.
Authors will be notified and given the opportunity to respond before any final action. Authors and readers may report issues; an editorial investigation, with the authors' right of reply, is conducted within 30 days. Retractions are rare and based on clear evidence.
Open Access Policy
JACIAMI operates under a full open access model, ensuring that all content is freely available to the public immediately upon publication. This reflects our commitment to the democratization of knowledge, broadening the reach of discoveries to researchers, clinicians, and society. Publication costs are covered by article processing charges (APCs), detailed in the Fee Policy, ensuring sustainability without access barriers.

To ensure the permanent preservation and accessibility of content, JACIAMI adopts:
- DOIs: Each article receives a registered Digital Object Identifier, ensuring traceability.
- Authors are encouraged to archive accepted versions in institutional or public repositories, promoting open science.
Commitment to Open Science
The adoption of the CC BY 4.0 license reflects our commitment to open science, promoting the reuse of data and results to advance global research. Authors are encouraged to deposit raw datasets in public repositories (Zenodo) and link them to the article, increasing the reproducibility and impact of their work
