Publication Fees

The Journal of Advanced Clinical Implementation and Applied Medical Innovations (JACIAMI) adopts a full open-access model, ensuring that all content is freely available to the global public immediately after publication. To maintain editorial sustainability, which includes peer review, production, digital preservation, and indexing, the journal applies article processing charges (APCs) only after the manuscript's definitive acceptance. There are no charges for submission, selection, or initial review of manuscripts.
APC Fees
APCs are graduated according to the authors' location and the number of co-authors, in observance of the principle of financial equity.
  • For authors affiliated with Brazilian institutions:
  • The standard fee is R$ 290.00 (two hundred ninety reais) per article with up to ten authors.
  • The fee is reduced to R$ 200.00 (two hundred reais) when all co-authors belong to partner institutions.
  • For international research groups:
  • The fee is US$ 100.00 (one hundred US dollars) per article with up to ten authors, payable via PayPal.
  • For articles with more than ten authors:
  • An additional R$ 20.00 (twenty reais) or US$ 5.00 (five US dollars) is applied per extra author, limited to fifteen authors in total.
Payment of Fees
Payment of fees must be made within ten business days after receiving the acceptance letter issued by the Editor-in-Chief. The due date and payment instructions (PIX for Brazilian authors or PayPal link for foreign authors) are included in the official acceptance correspondence. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the postponement of publication until the debt is regularized.
Discounts and Waivers
JACIAMI grants partial discounts of up to 30% on the APC value to authors from countries classified by the World Bank as middle or low-income, upon verification of financial difficulties. Additional waivers or reductions may be evaluated, at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief, in cases of special invitations or high-impact conference papers.
Use of Resources
The resources obtained from APCs are entirely allocated to maintaining the editorial infrastructure, digital preservation of content, and technical and editorial support. As a non-profit journal, any surplus is reinvested in the continuous improvement of services offered to authors and readers, ensuring transparency and sustained quality.
